BNME has started monthly chamber concerts on March 29th (Sun.) 8pm at Peng Hao Theater. Situated at Dongmianhua Hutong, just off Nanluoguxiang in Beijing’s theater district, Peng Hao Theater is the first courtyard theater in Beijing. Covering a wide variety of genres, the performances will be dedicated to a singular vision: sharing intimate chamber music in a small, informal setting unlike anywhere else in Beijing. Sometimes the audience will be introduced to older musical classics in a new way. Other programs reveal experimental, philosophical, or jazz/improvisation leanings. The concerts are: -March 29th Violin & Piano Duo- Mozart Meets “Taiping Drum” -April 15th Music from the Void-All Clarinet Concert -May 26th Focus on the Cello-from Debussy to Ligeti -June 15th New Music, Minyue and Live Calligraphic Art
